Nippy St+ Positive Pressure Ventilator

The Nippy ST+ is a pressure controlled positive pressure ventilator employing state of the art electronics, to give consistent and accurate support for patients requiring non invasive ventilation via a nasal mask or nasal pillows. The large colour LCD screen gives unrivalled clarity when setting up or reading stored data. Intuitive software allows for easy setting up, with on-screen help available for each function.

Settings and airway measurements are displayed on-screen with more advanced features accessed via an easy to follow menu. Compliance data may be viewed on-screen. Full event log may be downloaded to a PC. The Nippy ST+ is equipped with a universal mains power inlet, a dc power inlet and an internal battery. Weighing only 3.6kg, world-wide travel has never been easier.


Intended Use

The Nippy ST+ is intended for use by patients who require respiratory support via nasal mask or nasal pillows.
 

Modes Of Ventilation

  • CPAP - (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) Constant positive pressure is applied via the mask. No respiratory support is given in this mode.
  • Pressure Support IPAP - (Inspiratory positive airway pressure) and EPAP (Expiratory positive airway pressure) are set by the physician
     

For The Treatment Of

  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
  • Paralysis or fatigue of the diaphragm (Diaphragm paresis)
  • Decreased drive to breathe (Central Hyporventilation)
  • Some skeletal deformities (Scoliosis, Thoracoplasty)
  • Patients with respiratory muscle weakness Eg. myopathies, old polio, motor neuron disease Nippy 3 is equally suited to Hospital or Domiciliary use.
